About Octagnt
Octagnt began as an experiment.
In 2023, we launched Skillkeepr to solve a simple but frustrating problem in recruiting: recruiters were spending enormous amounts of time reviewing resumes that looked qualified on the surface but lacked the evidence needed to confidently present candidates to hiring managers.
Skillkeepr started as a skills intelligence platform designed to map experience, verify claims, and help recruiters evaluate candidates more efficiently. As the system evolved, we realized the real challenge was not just organizing resumes. The challenge was turning candidate data into decisions recruiters could stand behind.
Recruiting had become overwhelmed by volume. AI-generated resumes, inflated skills, and mass applications were making it harder, not easier, to identify the right candidates.
So we rebuilt the system from the ground up.
The result is Octagnt.
Octagnt is designed to act as a verification and evaluation engine for recruiting. Instead of producing another list of resumes, the platform analyzes candidates against locked criteria, validates signals across multiple sources, and produces a decision-ready shortlist recruiters can confidently present to their clients or hiring managers.
Each evaluation generates a structured Decision Packet that documents the criteria used, the signals evaluated, and the scores assigned, creating a transparent and auditable record of the hiring decision process.
Today, Octagnt helps recruiting teams reduce evaluation time, protect their reputation with clients, and focus on what they do best: building relationships and closing hires.
Because in modern recruiting, the real advantage is not having more resumes.
